International Festival: I have a voice 2021

Beneficiaries — Thousands of children from twenty international organisations

The Festival: “I have a voice “was born during the pandemic with the aim of offering thousands of children and youth in the communities we support with art creative activities online. Through poetry, slam, visual arts and movement workshops, the young participants were invites to express themselves and share with other young people with the support of experienced facilitators. With the support of the organizations Cartwheel Initiative from New York, Art Neighbourhood from New York, and Give a Hand this first edition in 2021 was a success with both young participants and organisations. For this reason, we decided to promote this project for a second edition in 2023 this time with the participation of our partner Slam Out Loud in India.

The first virtual festival: " I have a voice" is the stories of resilience and hope of thousands of youth and children through art.

Slam Out Loud

Slam out Loud is an organisation that uses art forms such as poetry, drama, storytelling, and visual arts to develop creative confidence skills among disadvantaged children in the slums of New Delhi and Mumbai. Over a five-year period, professional artists conduct a program of art techniques and their use in an academic context to awaken children. The same program is also used to train other teacher-facilitators who can then take Slam Out Loud programs to more schools across New Delhi and Mumbai. Ms. Jigyasa Labroo and her colleague Mr. Gaurav Singh are leading this innovative organisation.
